History Of B&W

The story of Bowers & Wilkins starts with one man – John Bowers. In 1966, Bowers began assembling speaker systems in the workshop of his electronics shop in Worthing, South East England. Five decades later, and Bowers’ dream of producing the perfect loudspeaker has transformed the company into a global leader in audio. Bowers & Wilkins is incredibly proud to celebrate its history of innovation, and even more proud that the ethos, passion, and drive of its founder is still a vital element in its continuing success.

Nautilus

It’s obvious that Nautilus is no ordinary loudspeaker, even before you listen to it. That’s because it’s the product of no ordinary speaker manufacturer. The shape of Nautilus was inspired by nature, but derived from pure science. The tapering tubes were designed for absolute treble and midrange purity, but at up to 3m long obviously would never fit in a standard cabinet. After many iterations, the designers realised a nature-inspired spiral would save space without compromising on performance. The Nautilus is the end result of the most ambitious research and development project Bowers & Wilkins has ever undertaken – to create, as near as possible, the perfect loudspeaker.

800 Series

The 800 Series Diamond represents the pinnacle of B&W's technological achievement, and the sum total of almost 50 years of research and development at the cutting edge of acoustic design. Inside the sturdy cabinet of every model is some of the most advanced technology ever to be put inside a speaker. This includes signature Bowers & Wilkins technologies such as Kevlar and Nautilus tubes, alongside groundbreaking advances in magnet and driver design.

700 Series

Precision sound for sophisticated listening. With two center channel speakers to choose from, 700 Series performs brilliantly in any home cinema set-up. Combining cutting-edge acoustic engineering and classic cabinet design, 700 Series is inspired by recording studios, and made for living rooms. The 700 Series’ flagship floorstander features a wealth of state-of-the-art technologies, including a solid body housing for Carbon Dome tweeter. A substantial three-way floorstander built to fill even the largest rooms with full-bodied, realistic sound.

600 Series

The essential loudspeakers for music lovers. The original Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series speakers were introduced twenty-five years ago and they have been the company’s best-selling speaker line over the years. The B&W 600 Series Anniversary Edition Theatre system provides a lot of performance for its relatively modest price. The 600 series speakers are available in four finishes: white, black, oak, and a special-order red cherry. The 603 S2 is a three-way, ported design with a slender profile featuring a one-inch aluminum dome tweeter, a six-inch Continuum midrange driver, and two 6.5-inch paper bass cones. The grilles are secured with hidden magnets, which allow for a clean front baffle. The clean baffle makes for a clean, modern look.

MT-60D

MT-50

Bowers & Wilkins MT-50 5.1 Mini Home Theatre Speaker Package combines the M-1 loudspeaker, with the incredibly compact, yet powerful, ASW608 subwoofer for an unbelievable surround sound experience. Big movie sound doesn’t necessarily require a blockbuster budget. The entry-level MT-50 system delivers both great value and a truly immersive cinematic soundscape. This system swaps the PV1D for the compact but punchy ASW608 subwoofer, available in a choice of matt black and white finishes to match the M-1s.

PX7

Wherever you go, experience music at its highest level. No matter where you are, powerful drivers and adaptive noise canceling put you in the center of the music.
